Celebrity Cruises deploys Celebrity Constellation to  Southampton in 2012 for wine and food themed cruises

Celebrity Cruises is an award-winning 5* rated premium cruise line that delivers a contemporary and modern cruise experience amongst innovative design and décor, impeccable service and unparalleled spa and dining options.

These new cruise itineraries (Oct 2011) have been specially designed to offer cruise passengers rich experiences in the classic wine countries of France, Spain and Portugal.

The new itineraries feature overnight stays in Le Havre (for Paris/Normandy) and Le Verdon (for Bordeaux), France, as well as Bilbao, Spain.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy tours and tastings at some of the region's most renowned wineries, grape harvesting experiences, and gain in-person insight into how Port wine is blended and aged in Porto, Portugal.

The experience aboard Celebrity Constellation will reflect the flair and flavour of the region, too, with activities developed in partnership with local wineries, including Rioja tastings, Champagne brunches, Bordeaux samplings featuring up to five wines from well-known Chateaus, Port and food pairing dinners and more, including special events in the ship's Cellar Masters bar, complete with its "Enomatic" by-the-glass wine serving system. A seasonal wine package featuring special selections from the region also will be added to Celebrity's already popular package offerings.

Renovated. Revitalized. "Solsticized."

Celebrity Constellation is the first of the line's four Millennium-class ships to be "Solsticized" which comprised of a $40 million 15-day drydock and revitalization programme whereby many of the ships facilities were upgraded to bring them closer in-line with the newer "Solstice Class" ships; Celebrity Eclipse being one of them.

The new additions include the Tuscan Grille steakhouse; the creperie, Bistro on Five; a "cool" new ice-topped Martini Bar; the inviting Cafe al Bacio, Gelateria and Cellarmasters wine bar.

Other enhancements include restyled staterooms, with entirely new carpeting, flat-screen TVs, upholstery and bedding; and new colour schemes, carpeting and upholstery reflective of the Solstice Class' stylish, modern design in every public venue.
