Cruise from Southampton aboard P&O Cruises newest super liner Britannia - for 5* hotel style glamour at sea.

A modern classic!

Britannia entered service in March 2015, and at 141,000 tons is the largest ship built exclusively for British passengers.

On her bow, she embraces a bold new Union Flag, (the longest version of the Union flag anywhere in the world, at 94 metres.) styled in a contemporary way which looks to the future, while celebrating the past.

Combining the excitement of cruising with the sophistication of a five-star hotel, Britannia isn’t just the biggest ship ever built exclusively for the British market – she’s the most glamorous too.

Your first moments on board are sure to be truly memorable as the spectacular ‘starburst’ centrepiece of her atrium comes into view.

2018 Britannia Southampton Cruises

We are honoured and proud that Her Majesty named Britannia almost 20 years after she named the P&O Cruises ship Oriana.

Britannia, a ship for the nation, is the embodiment of contemporary Britain, and with her Union Jack livery she will fly the flag for Britain across the Globe.

Carnival UK chairman, David Dingle

Learn more about what's available aboard Britannia with our photo tour guide:

Britannia's two distinctive blue funnels carry an illuminated rising sun motif which depicts the Oriental part of the Peninsular and Oriental (P&O) name on the company’s coat of arms.

Titled a 'modern classic', Britannia combines classic signature features, 'sophisticated wows' and new innovations, making her the most exciting representation of the P&O Cruises experience yet.

Britannia offers the 'best of the best', combining the favourite classic features of ships such as Oriana and Aurora and the wide choice and contemporary variety of Ventura and Azura, as well as many new concepts in technology and entertainment.

The Glass House, which also appears on Azura & Ventura is TV's wine buff Olly Smith's bar and restaurant. Olly has hand selected wine's for connoisseurs and occassional drinkers alike, where their special Enomatic system allows guests to sample vintage wines by the glass rather than the bottle - a rare opportunity!

A small food menu is also available to compliment the wines in addition.

Strictly Come Dancing fans will love The Crystal Room, a venue designed to host dancing, live bands and comedians.

Strictly Come Dancing joins Britannia on 03 June 2018 for a 14 night Mediterranean cruise (B816), themed cruise.

The Epicurean
is one of Britannia's Select Dining venues and may be booked for an exquiste afternoon tea by Eric Lanard, or for evening dinner at an extra charge.

James Martin, celebrity chef heads up The Cookery Club, where he and fellow celebrity chefs teach groups of up to 24 passengers their own cooking secrets. Guests pay from £100pp to join in for a 2 hour session.

Food Heroes – Olly Smith, Eric Lanlard, James Martin, Marco Pierre White and Atul Kochhar join P&O Cruises at sea on 18 different cruises in 2018.

Michelin-star winning spice master Atul Kochhar is behind Sindhu, already a firm favourite on Azura & Aurora, which is an Indian fine dinning venue which fuses carefully balanced Indian flavours with a British accent. Open in the afternoon for Indian Style Tapas and also for evening dinner.

Cover charge applies.

Deck 17 is home to The Reef - an area dedicated to children of all ages. Free to use, the area is split in to age related zones:

Splashers (2-4 year olds)
Surfers (5-8 year olds)
Scubas (9-12 year olds)
H2O (13-17 year olds)

All 'Reef Rangers' are DRB checked and well experienced.
