New to Saga Cruising for 2012, is the Saga Sapphire - a timeless ship with a modern twist.

Most recently sailing as the MS Bleu de France, Saga Cruising awarded the multi-million Euro refurbishment project to the Fincantieri Palermo Ship Yard.

The work planned for this ship will start during November 2011 and shall include the refurbishing of all public areas and spaces, the addition of a significant number of new passenger cabins, the complete refurbishment of the existing cabins and a new balcony deck.

Highlights also include a new Drawing Room and Pier, which will have a British seaside feel with fish and chips and an ice-cream parlour.

Due for completion in February 2012, the ship will be renamed the ‘Saga Sapphire’ and then shall set sail for her inaugural cruise from Southampton to the Mediterranean, which is due to start on the 26th March 2012.
