Southampton/London (UK) City Cruise Terminal

Southampton City Cruise Terminal with Independence of the Seas docked.

Southampton is the 'Cruise Capital' of the UK and home to some of the finest cruise lines.

The Port of Southampton is now on course to become the biggest cruise ship hub in Europe as more and more cruise lines increase the number of Ex-UK, roundtrip cruises from the UK.

The City Cruise Terminal in the Western Docks, completed a £9m, seven year deal with Royal Caribbean International to more than double its capacity. This investment allows the cruise line to use Southampton to host its latest generation of ‘Freedom Class’ cruise ships which are currently among the largest in the world. ‘Independence of the Seas’.

Around 360 ship calls were completed at Southampton in 2011 with more than 1.4 million cruise passengers passing through the Port.
